The Australian Grains Industry Biosecurity Plan will provide industry and governments a framework to prevent, prepare for and respond to incursions through targeted activities and investments.

The plan was developed by Plant Health Australia, supported by GPA with further input provided by key industry stakeholders.

Countryman spoke to GPA Chairman Barry Large who said, “this plan will implement the projects and initiatives we need to fight back against these pests and diseases that pose a constant threat to our livelihoods.”

The plan aims to identify current gaps and to target investment that will improve biosecurity.
