As growers prepare for winter cropping in 2025, FarmOnline spoke to a range of growers and agronomists from around the country to get the latest on what the plans are for this year.
Seasonal variations will play a part in 2025 cropping decisions, with summer weeds presenting the first port of call as growers move to conserve moisture.
Grain Producers Australia Northern Region Director and Moree grower Matthew Madden provided some insight to FarmOnline coming off the back of a decent season for many in his area in 2024.
"People have managed to have a decent year which means there will be no need to cut corners with things like inputs or searching for lower cost crop options," Mr Madden said.
