Grain Producers Australia welcomes the recent announcement on the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), with the formal notification received on Friday 8 May.
The IA-CEPA is set to begin from 5 July 2020, with the grains industry to benefit from the new 500,000-tonne quota for Australian feed grain, with increases of 5% each year. Currently, the Indonesian market is Australias biggest wheat market, worth more than $1.2 billion each year to the Australian grains industry.
Grain Producers Australia congratulates the Australian and Indonesian Governments, as well as the Australian grains industry on the achievement.
