The South Australian River Murray town of Mypolonga will play host to retired Australian cricketer Brad Hogg next week as a part of Grain Producers Australia's national Farmer Mates Mental Health Initiative.
Hogg is set to speak at the Mypolonga Combined Sports Club and share stories from his career and the importance of building support networks in rural communities to be there in tough times.
Murray Bridge News reported that Hogg was looking forward to building connections with locals.
“I’m looking forward to joining GPA and our partners … to build greater leadership and knowledge-sharing on this vitally important issue,” he said.
“I’m excited about … making sure we can reach out and connect with people.”
