Removal of GM Moratorium in SA a win for all grain producers

Grain Producers Australia Chairman, Mr Andrew Weidemann, welcomes the announcement from the South Australian Government to allow growers on mainland South Australia to grow Genetically Modified (GM) crops, from the 2020 season. Mr Weideman said “South Australia was the last mainland Australian state to maintain a moratorium on growing GM crops. The decision to remove the moratorium allows grain producers within South Australia an opportunity to be more competitive in both national and international markets that have been able to grow GM crops for years.”...
