A promise to cut the petrol and diesel excise by 25 cents per litre by the Coalition if elected, could save growers significantly in travel costs.

The Weekly Times reported on the announcement made by Opposition leader Peter Dutton and spoke to Grain Producers Australia Chair and Western Australian grower Barry Large.
“We’re getting squeezed, every time you time you turn around, someone else is having a sip of the cup,” Mr Large said.
“But this would take a percentage off. It’s a good incentive.”
